Priory

“We are delighted with the design and delivery of our new head office. AMH Projects approached the project with great sensitivity, creating an environment that balances openness and collaboration with privacy and confidentiality. The result is a calm, modern workplace that supports wellbeing, teamwork and focus.”

Phil Bytheway, Priory's Director of Estates and Facilities Management

After the success of our collaboration on Priory’s Bristol office, we were delighted when they asked us to partner with them again, this time to design, build and deliver their new London workspace.

This project was part of Priory’s wider strategy to rethink how their offices worked after the shift to hybrid working. The goal was to create a destination that would enable people to feel great about coming into the office and able to do their best work. It needed to balance connection and confidentiality; support the sensitive work they do and reflect the warmth and care at the heart of their culture.

Priory needed a space that supported both the people delivering care and those accessing it. Their days blend confidential conversations and focused desk time with virtual collaboration, team meetings and informal catch ups. Each area needed to help people feel supported while also offering space to pause, relax and recharge.

Hybrid working was central to the brief. With teams splitting their time between home and the office, the space had to feel welcoming, it needed to provide calm in the middle of a fast-paced city, supporting a business that undertakes sensitive and often challenging work and creating an environment that nurtures wellbeing as much as productivity.

We listened to what mattered most to Priory’s team and built a design that felt approachable and full of personality, a space that puts people first and helps everyone feel at ease the moment they walk in.

Visitors are greeted by a bright, welcoming reception that feels more like a relaxed living space than a corporate lobby. Soft lighting, warm materials and familiar details help people feel comfortable from the moment they arrive.

The breakout area sits at the heart of the office, designed to encourage connection and conversation. It is a space to eat, chat, unwind and build community. Café tables, high stools and soft seating give everyone the choice to spend time however they need.

Flexibility runs throughout the design. Glazed offices allow natural light to flow through while maintaining privacy for meetings. Acoustic pods provide space for quiet focus or confidential calls. Every detail supports the team’s need to balance concentration with connection.

“When people feel relaxed, they connect better. This project was about creating a space that helps that happen naturally, somewhere calm and comfortable that brings people together, supports the sensitive work Priory do and feels genuinely good to be in.”

Melody Hill, Head of Design – AMH Projects

The finished workspace feels open, inclusive and full of warmth. It reflects Priory’s people first values and gives their team a place they genuinely enjoy spending time in.

Every part of the design supports how they work, from quiet corners for focus to open areas that spark conversation and collaboration. It’s a space that feels calm yet energising, somewhere people look forward to coming into and proud to be part of.

For Priory, this project was about creating a workspace that feels right for their people. For us, it was about helping them bring that vision to life.
