Alliance Pharma

“This new design has revolutionised the communication and engagement of our people – previously, teams were split up into four separate areas. Staff had to cross a central stairwell and pass through security controlled doors to reach other sections. The addition of art, creative lighting, air conditioning and soft furnishings has completely changed the feel of the space, creating an atmosphere of creativity.”

Nigel Richings, Alliance Pharma, Facilities Manager

Alliance have been at their Grade II listed building since 1998 and have grown into the entire building of 17,000 sqft throughout that time. The iconic building in Chippenham used to be home to the production of Nestlé Condensed Milk until the 1960’s. The existing layout of the building into individual suites created separation between the teams which wasn’t supporting their company culture.

The superb design for the new workspace was created by fabulous team at Wylde IA, and went on to be award winning, securing the 2022 Civic Award for the sensitive treatment of this historic building. The design included a new cafe and breakout space providing new places for informal meetings and a great environment for everyone to have lunch, and the attention to design detail meant delivery of this project was made easy.

The refurbishment was carried out in phases to allow the day to day work of the company to continue with minimal disruption. The team at Alliance are now able to work with better efficiency as the flow of the workspace allows them to connect with their colleagues more easily, and makes a greater choice of work settings available for the entire team.
